On 18 April, Chapter Zero Slovenia became the 25th active Chapter in the Climate Governance Initiative’s global network, pledging to support supervisory and management boards as they develop climate and sustainability related competencies.
The Chapter’s launch was marked by a special event in Ljubljana, during which the Chapter’s Honorary Patron and President of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar (pictured left), delivered a speech.
Miha Košak, Honorary Chairman of Chapter Zero Slovenia and Vice-Chairman of the British-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce, said: “It is clear that climate change needs to be addressed collectively – by individuals, businesses and governments. Active and ambitious engagement of industry, finance and business in mitigating and adopting to climate change is crucial. That is why we have launched Chapter Zero Slovenia, a ground-breaking step towards achieving this goal in our country.”
